Position-Dependent Disc Herniation And Associated Spinal Instability
The recumbent image exhibits only a loss in disc hydration at L5/S1 and a minimal bulge of the disc. The UPRIGHT® MRI image shows a marked loss of disc height at L5/S1 relative to the recumbent image which was accompanied by a focal disc herniation and a retrolisthesis that was not visualized by the recumbent MRI.
